Leverless controllers may be all the rage, but it’s still pretty hard to get your hands on a pre-built model in Europe. Today we see a big step in changing that: Hit Box Arcade has announced a partnership with French arcade parts vendor SmallCab to distribute the classic Hit Box model in Europe.

The company is promising to get the Cross|Up and Smash Box models to European buyers through SmallCab in the future, and right now you can pick up a Hit Box for a limited time price of €265 until 4/24 when they bump up to €275. Buy it from SmallCab’s website.

In the FGC it always goes like this: If the devs won’t add it, modders will. ArcSys community modder WistfulHopes presents a PC mod that enables frame advantage display in training mode. Getting frame data from Dustloop is well and good, but it really helps to know exactly how many frames of advantage (or disadvantage) you’re working with when experimenting with setups.

Dragon Ball FighterZ also had this handy display added in an update, so I hope ArcSys can get this to console players in the future. Grab the mod on GitHub.

Artwork inserts for arcade sticks (and leverless) are an old tradition in the FGC, but how often is your artwork useful in the middle of a set? Check out the Cheatbox Micro project, a set of free art inserts for Junkfood’s Snackbox Micro leverless that fills that empty space with useful info.

Creator Noe Perez describes their motivation as “help cheatbox users “cheat” harder”, and currently a number of variants exist for Street Fighter V, Guilty Gear Strive, a Skullgirls version for Big Band and a neutral version listing out SOCD tricks.

Perez is producing variants for Street Fighter 6 based on information from the Beta tests and Demo, with all kinds of combos and frame data cited from various sources including our own wiki! As a TO I’m not sure I’ve ever seen this kind of thing actually be banned despite its name. Very cool!

The Playstation 4 will be receiving the only last-generation version of Street Fighter 6, so how does it stack up on the most popular tournament console in the FGC? Check out this recording of gameplay from the Street Fighter 6 Demo showing the game’s performance on PS4 Pro.

Input Delay Reduction was left OFF for this recording. Enabling this feature disables the game’s VSync and allows it to show “torn” frames in service of showing you the next frame sooner. In our testing we found it is constantly tearing and is not a very playable experience.

Unfortunately, the World Tour mode does not provide the same level of consistency as the core versus mode. I’m working on a more comprehensive breakdown. Check out a snippet of the gameplay in this tweet:

It’s going to be a big day for Street Fighter fans. At 3 PM PT/7 PM ET/10PM GMT the Street Fighter 6 Showcase presented by none other than Lil Wayne will go into detail on each of SF6’s three slices: The World Tour single-player content, the Battle Hub online service, and Fighting Ground core game modes.

Expected to run over 30 minutes, Capcom is hinting at “some big news at the end of the show.” A notable leak from a Japanese partnered content creator has suggested that you should get ready to hit the streets after the show. Pre-show begins 30 minutes before the showcase!
