Ultimate Montreal Airdashers 2022 Preview

With 3 whole days of fighting action, Ultimate Montreal Airdashers (UMAD) heralds the coming of large-scale FGC events in Canada. All of our favorites are headed north with a few crowd pleasers in tow, so let’s talk the schedule and where to watch.

Capcom Fighting Collection powers Cyberbots at UMAD 2022

As I wrote in my review, the Capcom Fighting Collection provides the easiest way to get into an arrangement of classic Capcom fighters yet. With the ease of access of a console port UMAD 2022 will have Cyberbots run on the PS4 version of CFC. If you’ve never heard of Cyberbots, it’s a fast paced robot-smashing fighting game with plenty of tribute paid to mecha anime. I’m personally a big fan of the simple to grasp yet fast paced gameplay and really varied cast of characters. Akatsuki Blitzkampf returns to offline events

When’s the last time you heard about an Akatsuki Blitzkampf offline tournament? Akatsuki Blitzkampf’s base in the west continues to grow thanks to Flycast’s GGPO netcode finally making the game’s final arcade revision Ausf Achse playable online across the globe. If you’d like to get in on that action check out Fightcade to meet players in the wild. This is actually another one of those games that has consistent representation out of Canada, and local player Element_ has prepared a Beginner’s Guide to ABK:

In case you missed it, developer Subtle Style has announced an Arcade-exclusive update to this game’s sequel En-Eins Perfektewelt that is planned to release this year. This game will also be featured at Vortex Gallery, the community championships at Evo 2022!
