Arcade hardware outfit JunkFood Custom Arcades is seeking to grow its presence at FGC venues around the United States and territories with the reveal of the JunkFood Partnership program. JFCA’s official blog post introduces 9 partners from around the United States and Puerto Rico to offer sponsorships such as “collaborative art cases, one of a kind Snack Box V2 for every organization to give away, tons of social media sharing and support” along with other plans they expect to reveal during the summer.

The following 9 partners have been chosen to represent their regions as part of the program:

The announcement makes mention of custom Snack Box V2 arcade controllers, which have become an increasingly popular offering for the company. While many hardware providers offer very limited collaboration styles to deviate from the standard model, JunkFood has made strides to offer several uniquely decorated variants of the Snack Box.

JunkFood currently showcases a customized “beastcoast” variant of their signature Snack Box controller.

JFCA has explained to SuperCombo that the program is being created with the intent of reaching the corners of the US FGC that are not often on the radar of historically active sponsorship providers. It is also expected that the initial lineup of partners will provide feedback to the program to expand upon it and open to public applications with a refined model.

It’s certainly not out of the ordinary for hardware providers to invest back into the community with players such as Astro and Hit Box coming to mind. Where JunkFood seeks to innovate is the scope of their investment across the United States and with the right execution that can only be of benefit to undervalued scenes.

JunkFood expects to highlight their upcoming collaborations with partners on the official JFCA Twitter and Discord Server.
