This story has been updated with full schedule details and DLC announcements.

Red Bull Kumite is finally landing in the USA and you can’t ask for a bigger spectacle. This weekend (Nov. 13-14) Caesars Palace in Las Vegas will host invitational 8-man brackets for Guilty Gear -Strive- and Tekken 7 with a 16-man bracket capping off the show on Sunday for Street Fighter V. Read on for how to watch and what to expect.

Last chance for Street Fighter V & Tekken qualifier signups

If you’re in the Las Vegas area you still have time to register for the SFV and Tekken 7 last chance qualifiers which will take place at the venue on Saturday the 13th. The Guilty Gear Strive LCQ was played online (thanks, rollback netcode!) and Diaphone was the winner, so all 8 seats are locked in for that event. Visit the official Smash.gg tournament page for registration, you have until November 10 at 12 PM PST.

How to watch Red Bull Kumite

Spectators are welcome and free to enter at the venue at Caesars Palace. All you need to do is register for a Spectator pass on the Smash.gg page. The following notice applies for COVID-19 safety measures:

To ensure the health and safety of attendees, players, guests and staff, Red Bull Kumite and all will strictly adhere to CDC, venue, local and state COVID-19 guidelines including a mandatory mask mandate while inside all Caesars Palace facilities and providing proof of vaccination or a negative PCR test results within 72 hours of the event. Who’s invited to Kumite in Las Vegas?

Guilty Gear Strive online LCQ winner Diaphone will fill out the Top 8 for this invitational, however Tekken 7 and Street Fighter V will take 2 offline LCQ winners into their respective top 8s. This is because Arslan Ash and Mister Crimson will be unable to attend the show. Here’s the list of confirmed players:

  • Guilty Gear -Strive-: Uriel Legion, Daru_I-no, SonicFox, BNBBN, Skyll, Apologyman, Gobou, Diaphone (LCQ Winner).
  • Tekken 7: Knee, Gen, Anakin, Book, Cuddle Core, Super Akouma, and two LCQ winners decided on Saturday.
  • Street Fighter V: NL, GO1, Oil King, MonoPR, iDom, RonaldinhoBR, and two LCQ winners decided on Saturday.
    • Street Fighter V’s invitational bracket will be 14 invited players and 2 LCQ winners. The final roster of invited players for SFV has not yet been revealed.

Red Bull’s first Kumite event in the US is arguably the strongest showing an offline event has carried since the pandemic began,  so whatever you decide to watch (I know I will be watching all of it!) you will be in for a good time and I wish you good luck if you’re competing in the Saturday qualifiers in Las Vegas! Keep it here for results & VODs once the event wraps up.

Guilty Gear Strive’s next DLC character will be revealed

Arc System Works has been hyping up this event for a while and have revealed the silhouette of the next DLC character which will be revealed at Red Bull Kumite:

Be sure to tune in during the Guilty Gear Strive top 8 for the trailer that will almost certainly premiere during the show. Any guesses?
